Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly post hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week's post is the Top Ten Books I'm Excited To Read in 2012.
And I can only list 10? Really? This is going to be hard. There's so many good books coming out this year that I can't wait to pick up and read. But I guess I'll attempt to only list ten (I had to list eleven). Here goes nothing...
First, vampires! Second, Richelle Mead! Third, I'm looking forward to this book!
And I can only list 10? Really? This is going to be hard. There's so many good books coming out this year that I can't wait to pick up and read. But I guess I'll attempt to only list ten (I had to list eleven). Here goes nothing...
1. A Million Suns by Beth Revis
Who isn't looking forward to this sequel? Probably those who haven't read Across the Universe yet. And this is what I have to say to these people, "Go read the book!"
2. Cinder by Marissa Meyer
Cinderella, Cinderella (humming to the song since I don't know the words). And we've got cyborgs... Enough said, I want to read it.
3. Dreamless by Josephine Angelini
A touch of mythology and a doomed romance. I'm hooked. Plus the cover's beautiful!
4. Everneath by Brodi Ashton
This sounds like a retelling of Persephone and Hades kind of story. I'm a huge fan of that story among other mythological stories. I'm hoping the book is great!
5. The Golden Lily by Richelle Mead
Amazon
| Book Depository | GoodreadsFirst, vampires! Second, Richelle Mead! Third, I'm looking forward to this book!
6. Shine by Jeri Smith-Ready
The last book in the Shade trilogy. I have a secret for you though: I'm not a huge fan of the cover. But I loved the first two books, and I've enjoyed reading Jeri Smith-Ready's other books. So, I'm still looking forward to this one.
7. Slide by Jill Hathaway
This has a creepy paranormal plot. Sliding into someone's mind while you're seizing? Yes, I'm intrigued...
8. Survive by Alex Morel
This book centers around a lot of human emotion I think. When Jane feels down and ready to end her life, a disaster occurs. And now it's not about ending your life but fighting for it.
9. Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi
I've heard mixed reviews on this book. It might be similar to Blood Red Road. It's very difficult to get into at the beginning. Regardless, I still want to read it.
10. The Unquiet by Jeannine Garsee
Bipolar. Suicide attempt. Settling into a new home. Ghosts. Wait a second, did I hear ghosts? Count me in...
11. Unwholly by Neal Shusterman
I truly enjoyed Unwind, as shocking as it was to read. And then I heard there was going to be a sequel. I'm hoping this book is as good as the first one. Too bad the cover's not available yet.
A Millions Suns!! I'm super excited to read that. Cinder sounds really good, and I've heard great things about Everneath. Great list you've got here.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog, and happy reading in 2012!
Great top ten!! I have Cinder & Shine on my top ten as well but I definitely agree with the rest of your list as well! So many great books coming out this year that I'm looking forward to reading! :)
