In My Mailbox


The "In My Mailbox" post consists of which books we bought during the past week, hosted by The Story Siren.

  • The Name of the Star by Maureen Johnson

      • Ever since I heard 'Jack the Ripper' is in the plot, I was interested.  And other people's reviews have only made me more interested.  Needless to say I am super-excited to be reading this soon...
  • Vanish by Sophie Jordan
    • Amazon | Book Depository | Goodreads
      • The second book in the Firelight series.  The paranormal aspect in these books is very intriguing, and I have to admit that's why I'm reading the second book.  Hopefully, the second will be better than the first.

    I got an ARC of Vanish a while back but I don't have Firelight. I'll have to see if I can get my hands on that. I also really want to read The Name of the Star. Sounds awesome. Happy reading! :)

    I have to admit, though I've heard many wonderful things about Maureen Johnson's books, I haven't read any of them. Perhaps The Name of the Star will be my first, as it sounds quite interesting :) Vanish looks great too!

    Oh I LOVED The Name of the Star. It starts off a bit slow (interesting, but slower paced) but then it totally takes off and you'll be glued to your seat. So good!
